
New Zealand Immigration Medical Exams (IME) - 2024 Guide
Before Your Examination

Valid ID Required: Bring your original valid passport. For refugees, ID books or ID cards are accepted. Unfortunately, birth certificates or certificates of identity are not permissible.

Medical Records: Please bring any previous chest X-rays, scans, or medical reports you may have.

Eye Test: An eye test is included; remember to bring your glasses or contact lenses.

Visa Category: Know your visa category before your visit, as advisory services on visa categories are not offered

Important Considerations

Additional Testing: Be aware that further blood, urine tests, or specialist referrals may be required based on your medical or test results. Costs for additional testing are not included in the initial fees.

Urine Test: If you are menstruating during the exam, a retest may be necessary.

Dress Code: You will need to undress to your underwear for the exam; gowns are provided, especially for female applicants, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Chaperone Recommendation

It is advised to have a chaperone present during your examination for comfort and assurance.
