REQUIREMENTS FOR IMMIGRATION MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS (IMEs) 2026

Please arrive 15 minutes earlier to complete the forms

  • VALID ORIGINAL PASSPORT. No other form of identification will be accepted. Certified copies of passports and ID books/cards CANNOT be used.

  • HAP ID number & Referral letter – we cannot assist without this.

  • Please bring any previous chest X-rays, scans and medical reports. 

  • Please bring any prescription medication you are currently taking with you.

  •  Dr Cobb works by appointment only so please contact us on 011 788 1344 to schedule an appointment.

  • An eye test will be done as part of the medical: please bring your glasses or contact lenses with you.

  • Please note you will need to get undressed down to your underwear for the medical examination. You are welcome to bring along your own summer gown.

  • If you would like a chaperone present, please will you bring one.

  • Dr. Cobb does not decide if a person meets health requirements or not. This is done in Australia. There is no “pass or fail” on the medical completed by a panel doctor.

  • It is the applicant’s responsibility to get specialist or other reports when needed
